No Bake Chocolate-Peanut Butter Bars

Ok, so I know I’ve done a few desserts!! You have to admit they’ve been delicious and fairly low calorie.

I found these while browsing through my Healthy Eating Cookbook. Click on it and you can grab this book for pretty cheap. I love a cookbook that tells me the nutrition information. They were perfect because they were no bake, and had my two favorite ingredients: Peanut Butter and Chocolate!!

These are lighter than the last bars, so that’s even better.

I love how simple these are and the ingredient list is perfect. If you can remember 1/2cup then you are in business!!

1/2c Peanut Butter (Low-fat)

1/2c honey

1/2c low fat granola

1/2 c crispy rice cereal

1/2 c raisins ( I changed this to chocolate chips!!)

1/2 c crushed graham crackers

You can see that I switched out the raisins for chocolate chips. This is how I made them into PB Chocolate Bars!!

Look how easy this is….

Melt your PB and Honey in a small saucepan over Med heat…

Pour it over the dry ingredients. I mixed all of my dry ingredients together first, so I was ready for the warm peanut butter mixture. Now the chocolate chips are going to melt right in.

This really didn’t change the calories that much because the raisins have a quite a few calories and some fat as well.

Mix, mix, mix

I placed the mixture over a sheet of parchment paper in a small glass casserole dish.

Pop it in the fridge and after about an hour you can take it out!! It’s ready!!

The parchment makes it super simple to get out of the pan and cut into 12 perfect bars!!
